In other words – text messages! The Every Day Matters program was designed in collaboration by the Gold Group’s GOMO Health Division and the staff at Bridgeway in Sussex County. Bob Gold, owner of the Gold Group says ”as far as we know, Bridgeway is the first psychiatric rehabilitation program in the country utilizing this type of behavioral technology for patient engagement.” Text messages – or Care Messages include messaging around physical and mental wellness, activities promoting productivity at home, activities prompting participation at Bridgeway, motivational support to increase members’ self-confidence and belief in themselves and their ability to recover. Individuals in the program can also text key words to receive supportive information and tips, for example “SMILE” to receive a joke or “MOOD” to receive “feel good”, motivational message. Cory Storch, CEO of Bridgeway, is anxious to see the results of the Every Day Matters program. He explained “Bridgeway is well known for delivering evidence- based best practices. This mobile engagement program is an emerging best practice.” Every Day Matters.
